About Us



SREENIDHI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY One among the top noted colleges of the state, Sreenidhi does everything to give the best to its students. THE ROBOTICS CLUB
Founded by three leaders amongst the students, Pradeep Iyer, Naga Chaitanya and Krishna Chaitanya from mechanical stream, The Robotics Club (TRC) emerged officially on 4th march 2006. Since then it has grown to the most prominent student organization in the college. Every year enthusiastic students take up induction program to become part of the club. It helps integrating robotic knowledge among the students from various branches like mechanical, computer science, electrical, information technology etc. It conducts weekly sessions, project displays, workshops and seminars guiding students to develop their skills and talent in the field they choose by promoting their working models of various projects and inculcates team spirit and imparts managerial skills to the best. And not just this, it conducts a National Level exclusive Robotics Symposium-ROBOVEDA every year attracting students from all over the country to participate in its Technical events.

Hospitality




On behalf of the entire Roboveda team, we would like to extend a warm welcome to you and hope that you cherish each and every moment of your stay at Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology. The hospitality cell will be there round the clock at your service to make your short stay a memorable one.
All the participants who need accommodation are advised to get themselves registered online with the hospitality department as soon as the registrations are open. In the absence of such registration and in case of delay in registering, we may not be able to serve you in any manner and you might lead yourself into great inconvenience. Since the accommodation is provided only to a limited number of participants, the registrations are done on first come first serve basis. So hurry up!

HOW TO GET TO SREENIDHI?
If you are an outstation participant, prior intimation of your journey details like train/bus/flight numbers, reservation details and timings is mandatory so that we make necessary arrangements to assist you to the college. Hospitality volunteers are present at railway station to guide you to the campus. It is advisable to be in contact with the hospitality coordinators through phone so that you don’t face any inconvenience in reaching SNIST campus. The route map to the college is available in the footer section.

ACCOMMODATION: On spot registrations are available. Kindly note that these registrations are limited and additional charges will be collected.
Note: Final decision of onspot accommodation lies with the executive. Our volunteers receive you at the railway station and take you to the hostels. If you are a local participant, you can avail the facility of college buses starting at different places in the city.The participants are accommodated in the hostels not very far from the college and the transportation for to and fro journey to the college is provided. Accommodation is given from 16th to 18th of August. Participants may have to share rooms with the co-participants and requests for individual rooms may not be entertained.
We would make arrangements to drop you back at the railway station, provided you intimate us regarding your departure timings well in advance.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR ACCOMMODATION: All the participants have to get themselves registered for ROBOVEDA’13 through the website; which will be put up soon, an ID is generated and is sent to you through mail. This ID is termed as ROBOVEDA ID. It should be noted down for all the proceedings.
Now, login using the Roboveda ID and select for accommodation. By selecting for accommodation, an accommodation ID is generated and is sent to you through mail. This ID should be noted down for further proceedings.

[The Hospitality Charges for the symposium for 3 days for each participant is Rs. 1000/- (both boys and girls) for online registration (which includes accomodation charges, food charges, transport charges and others). the amount must be paid in the form of a Demand Draft(DD). On-spot registration for accomodation includes an additional charge of Rs. 100/- for each participant. ]

DD should be taken In Favor Of THE PRINCIPAL, SNIST, payable at Hyderabad and send it to the following address. Direct payment can also be made at the college by bringing the printouts of the filled hospitality registration form and the confirmation mail (Direct Payment falls into the category of On-Spot Registration. Kindly note that these registrations are limited and additional charges will be collected).

  • → Participant name, college name, ROBOVEDA ID and Hospitality ID should be written at the back of the DD.
  • The printouts of the COMPLETELY filled hospitality registration form and the confirmation mail should be attached along with the DD.
  • → DD with above mentioned form should be sent to the below mentioned address through post.
  • → DD should reach the college on or before 13th August 2013. (We are not responsible for any kind of postal delays).
  • → In case if a single DD is taken for a group of five or more people, their corresponding individual details (Participant name, college name, ROBOVEDA ID and Hospitality ID) must be sent to us written on a white paper.

Note: Any DD without fulfilling the above requirements will not be accepted.
Accommodation confirmation mail will be sent to all the participants whose DDs have been received.

HOSPITALITY-DESK:

We, the hospitality department set up hospitality-desks in the admin block during the days of ROBOVEDA. The hospitality-desk will always have volunteers waiting for your queries. You can contact them for any assistance needed. Event registrations and attending the queries are the important tasks performed here. Here, the Symposium updates are announced from time to time.

Q: How to reach SNIST on reaching Hyderabad?
A: As your train arrives at the railway station, please find ROBOVEDA volunteers in the station who will escort you to the college or the hostel. It is advised to be in contact with the hospitality coordinator through phone who will assist you at any time. In the worst case, if you couldn’t spot the ROBOVEDA volunteer, hire a cab or get into a bus to reach GHATKESAR.

Q: Whom should I contact on reaching the campus?

Transformer Botz


                                

Transformer Robotics is a new approach to the Human Machine Interface. It is a collaborative approach of arduino hardware and software including mechanical movement of a robot. Let's break the conventional way of workshops and let's dig into something one has never thought of.


Transformer Robotics is based on Klann mechanism. Klann mechanism is such a vast idea to give a linear movement from rotational actuators, used in railway engines. In Transformer Robotics we are going to use 8 legged robot each using a klann mechanism.
